About the Authority

Established in 2023, the European Authority for Digital Asset Supervision (EADAS) serves as the central regulatory body for blockchain-based financial services and digital assets within the European Union.

EADAS was created in response to the growing complexity and scale of crypto-related markets. Its mission is to oversee, regulate, and coordinate the safe integration of digital assets into the EU’s financial system, while supporting innovation and protecting citizens.

Our work includes:

  • Supervising Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) across member states

  • Enforcing AML/CFT compliance in token-based ecosystems

  • Maintaining the EU Digital Wallet & Case Register

  • Supporting the implementation of MiCA and upcoming crypto directives

EADAS collaborates with key institutions such as ESMA, EBA, Europol, and national authorities to provide a unified regulatory framework. We are committed to promoting transparency, resilience, and public trust in Europe’s digital financial future.
